Healthy lettuce wrap sandwich

This is one of my favorite sandwiches and despite the fact that has no bread is very filling and healthier at the same time.

Thinking that you might be hungry and curious, I will pass over the long talk and jump to the recipe which is very simple.

What you need : Bib lettuce, grilled mushrooms, avocado smashed into a paste , one slice Swiss cheese or what cheese  you prefer, fresh deli meat , (I used turkey breast) .

Place the avocado paste, the cheese, the mushrooms and deli meat on two lettuce leafs, wrap it up, secure with a tooth pick and you are ready to eat.

Simple as that! 😉

On one of the sandwiches, I added horseradish as I love horseradish a lot. 🙂

Anyway, you can make this lettuce wrap with a grilled steak or grilled chicken breast or fish for a warm and more protein sandwich or keep it more simple with goat cheese, tomatoes and cucumbers.

You decide how you like it best but it is a good method to replace the bread. Just be careful about that toothpick !
